Philosophy
At North Wyong Early Childhood Learning Centre (North Wyong Childcare Centre) we offer a comprehensive integrated service including care, education, health, safety and nutrition programmes which seek to foster all aspects of children's development and to provide support for families and all who care for young children.
All children enrolled at North Wyong Childcare Centre will have access to the services available and the integration of children with special needs will be supported.
Goals
We seek to provide a warm, safe, caring, stimulating environment that meets the developmental needs of each child.
We support and encourage the interest and involvement of parents.
We believe that the quality of early relationships and experiences and environment strongly influence children.
We believe that each child comes to the Centre with a different set of experiences, knowledge and interests and we seek to build on the child's home experience, and acknowledge the range of cultural backgrounds of families.
We believe that language and learning go hand in hand to increase children's concept development, social relationships and understanding of the world around them.
We believe that play is essential to young children's learning.
We believe that each child has the right to develop a strong sense of trust and self-esteem, dignity as a human being and self-respect.
We believe that children should be given time to grow, to try, to reflect and to experience success so that they are able to face future challenges, build on their strengths and accept their individual limitations without fear of failure and loss of self-esteem. Competition between children will be discouraged.
North Wyong Early Childhood Learning Centre seeks to be a resource for parents, students, childcare service providers, teachers and other interested persons.
