In relation to the community we believe:

• In valuing diversity and encouraging community input into the overall planning and programming. This will be adapted as circumstances change within the community or the learning environment.

• The community resources need to be utilised.

• In promoting co-operation with other professionals and agencies who will offer their skills and support to educate the families in our early childhood environment.

• We have a role to play as mentors and role models for new student teachers. We will support the industry by encouraging and supporting local colleges, universities and other training institutes by accepting practicum placements as well as up-skill within the industry by providing on the job training for staff through traineeships.
